A wine with a powerful palate of plums, black currants and nuances of bay leaf. The perfume is driven by a combination of violets, ripe cherries and cedar notes. The firm and balanced tannins from careful maturation in new 1 and 2-year old French oak brings together a wine with power, density and a lovely length.
Fruit from Yallingup (in the north) and Wilyabrup (toward the middle). Matured for 16 months in oak. This is lush and plush, and lays out a heady combination of firm but fine tannins, red and purple berries and pan fried toasted spices. This is really delicious, and perfectly approachable now, with enough structure to show its integrity.
