An epic contemporary blend, this modern style red wine presents with a deep purple colour and lifted aromas of black cherry, plum, tobacco and warm spice. An impressive and intense palate with notes of black plum, cedar and anise.
Blackberries, plums, salted deli meat and leather strap on the nose; in the mouth the fruit is here, but it is driven by irm tannins. This is a common story in 2020 reds from WA, although the quality is generally excellent and likely long-lived. Here the wine is concentrated and ripe, however the tannins will need either a further year or two in bottle to start to soften, or certainly an hour or so in a decanter.
